wowowowow what a gem. gorgeous interior, beyond delicious food (and so creative/unique too!) and great service. couldn’t have asked for more, i wish we had done the 8 course option but i had been eating all day and thought it would be too much, so much regret once we started eating, as everything was so delicious. definitely need to come back!

Ambience: Absolutely lovely interior ambiance, there are only a few tables so it's nice and quiet in there. Serena and Flo were our servers and they were both very friendly and spent lots of time explaining all the food that we were eating! Food: Delicious and different is the best way to describe this food. It's beautifully plated, and every item has a different taste. My favourite was the celeriac dish, where we had celeriac in three different ways at the same time! By the time we were done we were so full, we could hardly eat the dessert. Vegetarian Value: Everything in the restaurant is vegan, so the value is high indeed! Price: Very expensive! But worth it for a special dinner once in a while.

Such a beautiful experience! My husband took my friend and I here for our birthdays and everything was perfect about it! The ambiance, the servers were super knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, the food was delicate, delicious and thoughtful. My friend has a soy allergy and they were so sweet to make her a different dessert. We did the 5 course meal and at first were doubtful that we would be full because the dishes looked like they were on the smaller side. But by the fourth course, we were just right. I was so full after finishing the dessert, so for us it was perfect. I loved every little detail like the beautiful plate they had their desserts on. I would definitely come here again for another celebration!

This was our second time trying the vegetarian tasting menu at Avelo, and I think it was even better than the first time. The food was more adventurous, the presentation more creative, and the taste delectable. My favourite was the wild mushrooms. Other highlights were the beet and split pea. The service was impeccable, attentive and very friendly. Highly recommended!!

My partner and I were in tonight for the 8 course tasting menu (one gluten free). We were absolutely blown away by how amazing everything was! We've tried many places and i was so excited to see that their gluten free versions of everything were just as good if not better than their standard offerings! This is so rare for us to find and i can't thank you enough for this! We were being served by Serena who was fantastic! Everything was carefully explained in a fun, digestible way. Service was quick, attentive and were made to feel right at home! 10/10 Everything we had was absolutely delicious. That said, the celiriac dish was unreal and absolutely our favorite. This may not be for you if you're a picky eater. But if you're in to trying fun, creative flavors and combinations, you'll love it! Ryan & Ella

I read through a ton of reviews prior to booking our reservation, so I was unsure what to expect with our trip, but my husband and I were both extremely satisfied. We did the 5-course menu option. The food tasted phenomenal, with such a unique variety of items combined together. The server (Flo) was fabulous, explaining every course in great detail. As with most 5 course menus, the foods served were a smaller portion, but as there were so many, we did not leave hungry. We look forward to returning on our wedding anniversary to enjoy the 8-course menu.

Avelo upstairs is such a fabulous time! Eden and David took such great care of my partner & I - and I’ll say, I’m a tough critic! The food was so fresh and unlike anything I’ve had before (even as an ex-vegan restaurant server). The grazing “cheese” board was quite filling and satisfying for 2. The olives & almond bowl was such a generous portion the kimchi chips with white bean dip was spicy and fresh. As a cocktail bartender myself, I absolutely loved the drink service. My partner, myself and our friend ordered one menu drink each, all were delicious & well-rounded. When it wasn’t too busy, we ordered some custom drinks: one spicy sour, a martini meets chrysanthemum & a boozy old-fashioned adaptation. All were so well-balanced and delicious. Big thanks to David and Eden for such an amazing time! We’ll definitely be back to see them again.

I LOVE cheese. I LOVE meat. When I sat down I had no idea this was a vegan restaurant. My first instinct was to run, but thankfully Eden convinced me to stay. The food was great. (Sure some of the “cheeses” on the “cheese board” lacked funk, but the mushroom spread more than made up for it. The wine was great. The service was great. The drinks were great. The best compliment I can pay is that I’m looking forward to going back.
